Rotary thanks

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Glenwood Springs Noon and Sunrise Rotary clubs, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike Daulton and his associates at Wal-Mart. It is their partnering with matching grants that has made the Rotary Discount Card successful. With their help we were able to provide over $26,000 to nonprofit organizations in the valley.

Rotary contributions have reached the senior community with support for their nutritional programs. In addition, contributions have gone to two agencies that serve youth at risk. Other contributions have gone to support literacy, newborn and visitor programs that provide outreach to our community.

We also want to thank Safeway, who once again agreed to be the anchor merchant on our discount card. We deeply appreciate all of our partners on the discount card, for without their help it would not be successful.

Finally, we thank those who purchased our Rotary Discount Cards over the past few years. It is your ongoing support that helps our clubs make a difference in the community.

On behalf of the Glenwood Springs Noon and Sunrise Rotary clubs,

Peter Jeschofnig

Rick McClellan
