Roy Rash, Jr.

Roy Rash, Jr., of Glenwood Springs died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in Glenwood Springs. He was 80.

Mr. Rash was born Nov. 13, 1921, to Effie and Roy Rash, Sr.

He married Ina Borchers in 1944.



He worked for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, and moved to Colorado after retiring. He enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.

He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church, and served as an elder in the Glenwood Springs congregation.



Mr. Rash was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Rice.

He is survived by sons John E. Rash of Glenwood Springs, Ron Rash of Basalt, and David Rash of Bettendorf City, Iowa; a daughter, Dianna Wright of Glenwood Springs; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 0097 Lions Ridge in Carbondale.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenwood Springs congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the new Glenwood Springs Kingdom Hall.
