Ruby Ann Ford, 69, of Rifle passed away May 29, 2009, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs with her family at her side.
Ruby was born April 11, 1940, in Ashland, Ill., to Floyd Eugene and Eva Mae (Buhl) Grogan. She spent her life raising her three children and spoiling her grandchildren. Ruby loved her volunteer work at the Rifle Information Center and the Rifle Senior Center.
She is survived by husband Guy Ford of Equality, Ill.; son Coy Ford of Ruskin, Fla.; daughters Lynn (Orville) Miller of Rifle and Sylvia (Kyle) Antonelli of Silt; brother Floyd (Butch) Grogan Jr. of Tallula, Ill.; sisters Shirley Walton of Jacksonville, Ill., and Joyce Galloway of Chathum, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ruby’s name to the Rifle Senior Center, 50 Ute Ave., Rifle, CO 81650.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at the Rifle Senior Center on June 6 at 10 a.m.
