Ruby MorrisOctober 5, 1914 – July 3, 2004

Ruby Morris, 99, died July 3, 2004, in a Wheat Ridge care facility. One of six children, she was born Ruby Hammer on Oct. 5, 1914, in rural Mesa County. While caring for her own family and running a small business, Ruby found time to volunteer for veterans organizations. Throughout life, she donated meals, gave handmade presents and raised funds. Ruby had ageless skin, and we joked that her rum-spiked fruitcakes were laced with a secret ingredient that prevented wrinkles. Perhaps it was thoughtfulness.Farewell, kind aunt, the NordsieksGlenwood Springs
