Ruth Adele May, a longtime resident of Saratoga, Calif., passed away in Glenwood Springs on June 25, 2009.

Ruth was born and raised in New York City and educated at Hunter College in New York.

She was a devoted mother of three daughters, Denise, Manon and Christine, who preceded her in death in 1994 in Saratoga.

Ruth was a loving grandmother to Ty Blocker of Colorado and Geoffrey O’Neill of Oregon. She had two great-grandchildren, Brinley and Ronan O’Neill. She is also survived by her sister Barbara of Orlando, Fla., niece Ordette and nephew Dennis.

She will always be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, warmth, generosity, great wit and humor. She was a true Renaissance woman and represented beauty in the true essence of the word. She will always be in her family’s hearts and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

No services are planned, and Ruth will be placed to final rest at Santa Barbara Cemetery in California at a later date.
