Salazar appoints BLM Advisory Council members
DENVER, Colorado – Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar on Thursday announced the 2012 appointments to the Colorado citizen-based Resource Advisory Councils (RAC), which advise the BLM on public land issues.
Each of Colorado’s three RACs have 15 members representing public land resources and users.
Five new members were appointed to the Northwest RAC, which advises BLM Colorado’s Northwest District including the Little Snake, Grand Junction, White River, Colorado River (Silt) and Kremmling field offices.
• Dave Grisso of Parachute represents energy and mineral interests.
• Tom Latham of De Beque represents ranchers holding federal grazing permits.
• Kai Turner of Meeker represents the public at large.
• Dona Shue of Meeker represents wild horse and burro interests.
• Stacy Kolegas Beaugh of Grand Junction represents environmental interests.
