Santa to visit Silt at annual celebration

Horse-drawn hay rides and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus are just a few of the highlights being offered at this year’s Silt Winter Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 27.The annual event will begin at 3:30 p.m. with buggy rides, courtesy of Tally Ho Shires, owned by Kim and Shad Murchison of Rifle. The free rides, beginning at Silt Town Hall on 7th Street, will be offered until about 5:30 p.m.From 5 to 7 p.m., everyone is invited for hot dogs, hot chocolate, chips and cookies at the Congregational Church. 6th and Home Street, in Silt.
