Sealing work closes I-70 lane

Staff Report
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” Crews have begun sealing cracks on a stretch of eastbound Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon, forcing the closure of one lane.

The Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crew is starting at mile marker 125.7 (just east of the Hanging Lake Tunnel) and progressing east toward mile marker 130. They will close the left (or inside) lane each Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the next three to four weeks.

The work could continue through Nov. 13, according to CDOT. Motorists may encounter traffic slowdowns in the area, the department cautioned.
