The office of Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., is inviting Garfield County residents to schedule office hours in Glenwood Springs from 3-5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29. Bennet’s Central Mountains Regional Director Delany Deskin will host the office hours.

Bennet’s office said the meetings are intended to “answer Coloradans’ questions, listen to concerns, and help navigate federal agencies,” according to a news release.

“There’s no greater responsibility, as Colorado’s senator, than being responsive to the needs of Coloradans across our state. I’m pleased to announce that our office will hold in-person office hours this fall,” Bennet said in the release. “If you’re having issues navigating a federal agency or receiving benefits, or have any questions, comments, or concerns, I encourage you to schedule time to talk with our team.”

The sessions are designed to help residents navigate federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the Social Security Administration.

Residents do not need to wait for office hours to contact Bennet’s office and are encouraged to reach out at any time for help or to share opinions.

To schedule a one-on-one meeting with Deskin, email officehours@bennet.senate.gov or call the Grand Junction office at 970-241-6631. Applications should include name, address, phone number and a brief description of the issue or concern.

The address of the meeting will be shared after an application is verified.
