The Carbondale Wild West Rodeo is seeking volunteers for this summer’s rodeo series. Be a part of the action by working the front gate, in the arena or directing cars in the parking lot. Volunteers are being asked to volunteer for at least four rodeos, which take place from June 5-Aug. 21. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

The Valley View Hospital Cancer Center will be offering a new Coffee Walk and Talk Group at 10 a.m. Thursdays in the VVH upper lobby.
This informal group will meet every Thursday to walk outside, enjoy conversation, and return for lattes, coffee or tea in the lobby. The group is open to survivors of cancer and those presently in treatment. Family members are welcome to walk as well. Wear walking shoes and warm, comfortable clothing. Varied distances for varied abilities. No charge.

RSVP with the Colorado Mountain College Senior Center, 1402 Blake Ave., will be sponsoring a two AARP Driver Safety classes The first class will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, May 27 and 28. The second class will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3 and 4. Both classes will be held from 8:30 to 12:30 at the CMC Center 1402 Blake Avenue, Glenwood Springs. There is a small fee, which includes the workbook and handouts. The program is a driver refresher course directed towards driver age 50 and over. Most automobile insurance companies in Colorado offer a discount to those completing the course.
