Shannon Marie "Shani" Bascom Adams

Shannon Marie (“Shani”) Bascom Adams will be forever remembered, missed and loved by her husband, Gerald, sons Gerald Jr., 14, and Destri, 12, her parents Beth and Ned Bascom, her sister Heidi, her brothers Troy and Shannon Jay, her grandmother Marie Guy, her parents-in-law Rusty and Yvonne Adams, and her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters and brothers-in-law.

Shani was proceeded in death by her “Papa” Guy and brother Shane.

Shani spent most of her life in New Castle and Rifle, where she met and married her husband Gerald. Shani and her family moved to Denver in 1990 where she worked in several Denver area hospitals. She was a compassionate caregiver with a love for children. In October 2002, Shani and her family moved to North Carolina. Shani looked forward to her family moving to Nashville, Tenn., early next year where she planned to work at Children’s Hospital and get her nursing degree.

Shani had a twinkle in her eyes, a ready smile and a contagious laugh. She called her mom every day and ended every call with, “Love you, `bye.”

Shani loved deeply and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. But now, we must say, “Love you, `bye,” Shani.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any Alpine Bank for the children of Shannon Marie (“Shani”) Bascom Adams.

Services will be held at the Rifle Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, to celebrate Shani’s life.
