Sharon was born in San Diego, Calif. Sept. 15, 1963 to Melvin and Emma Washburn. She died peacefully Oct. 20, 2011 in Lakewood, Colo.

Sharon grew up in a Military family, relocating often. After settling in Colorado, she worked construction for many years. She loved being outdoors and being a farmer.

She had a huge heart and a love for animals and children. She supported 4-H for many years.

Sharon is survived by her husband Randy Hughes of De Beque, Colo.; parents Melvin and Emma Washburn of Greenville, Texas; children Sarah (Chris) Hall of Denver, Colo.; Joshua Washburn (Crystal Brown) of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Justin (Ksaundra) Thomas of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Christopher Hughes (Carmen Maize) of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; grandchildren Ryan, Aaron and Brooklyn Hall; Diego and Korbyn Thomas; Haley and Hanna Brown and brothers Mark and Kurt Washburn of Greenville, Texas.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Sharon beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at Randy and Sharon’s home, 4567 S 1/2 Road, De Beque, Colo.
