Sharon (Sherry) Kenney Callaway of Glenwood Springs passed away December 27th.

She was born May 20th 1945 in Alamosa Colorado to Jim and Evelyn Kenney.

Sherry graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 1963, and her first paying job was operating the manual elevators at Hotel Colorado. She attended beauty school in Denver, during which she taught at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Then she worked as a beautician and cosmetologist before moving back to Glenwood and marrying Bob Gardner in 1976. She and Bob had two children and divorced in 1990.

She met and married John Callaway in 2002 but he passed away in 2005.

She was devoted to her family, the Denver Broncos and Coca-Cola. She loved cats and horses, singing, playing the piano, and collecting clocks, jewelry and Bev Doolittle art. She never missed Judge Judy or put down a Grisham novel except to watch the para gliders sail off of Red Mountain.

Sherry is survived by son Brian Gardner and his wife Paulina, daughter Jamie Gardner, brother Jim Kenney and his wife Ann, niece Katherine, and nephews Greg, Steve and Matt. Presently no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Colorado Animal Rescue.
