“Had a Heart full of Love”Shirley A. “Dusty” Lewis, age 72 years, of Erie, Pa., peacefully, went to be with her sister Carol, on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009. She was born in Erie, on May 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Musset Ames.Shirley enjoyed gardening, painting and baking, but most of all, her family. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Smith and Charlotte Baker.Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles Lewis; two daughters, Kimberly Merry, husband Jim of Wattsburg, Pa., and Karen Nies, husband John of Greene Twp, Pa.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jefferson husband Josh of Venango Twp, Pa. John Nies Jr., wife Nicole of Erie, Becky and Mike Merry both of Wattsburg and Jason Nies of Greene Twp, and two great grandchildren, Owen and Olivia Jefferson; one sister, Betty Lowther and 5 brothers: Robert Ames II, Dean, Daniel, Benjamin and Scott Ames. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the A.
