Sidney Raymond Fuller passed away March 26, 2007, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.He was born Oct. 19, 1914, in McClain, Okla., to John Wesley and Ollie Margaret (Carroll) Fuller.He married Bessie H. Trauer on Feb. 6, 1976, in La Junta.Ray was an area resident for 29 years. He was a millwright and worked in the water softener business. He was a hardworking man, and worked until he broke his hip at 86. He belonged to the Masons.Ray loved people, to visit and tell jokes. He loved golf, and played until he was 86. He enjoyed taking his grandkids fishing. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.He is survived by sons Ronald Dee (Gail) Fuller, and Donald Lee (Lila) Fuller; daughter Faye Maxine Hufsey; sister Betty Fuller Stonebarger; grandchildren Steve Rector, Kathy Gatewood and Sean Fuller, all of Texas, and Aaron Fuller and Kendra Fuller, both of Phoenix; and great-grandchildren Maya Fuller, Stevie Rector, Joshua Fuller and Justin Fuller.Ray was preceded in death by his wife; son Charles Fuller; five brothers and four sisters. A memorial service is planned in Great Bend, Kan., for Ray and his wife Bessie at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association.Farnum-Holt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
