Silt can clean up this weekend

Det. Mike Williams

Dear Editor,

The Town of Silt and the Silt Police Department would like to remind our residents that, per town ordinances, all property must be kept clear of weeds, brush, trash, junk, and rubbish of all kinds. In an effort to help beautify our community and assist residents in complying with the ordinances, the Town of Silt will be providing free use of large Dumpsters at the Silt Town Shop on North Seventh Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28.

In addition, tree trimmings, limbs, and branches can be stacked at curbside for free pickup from now through April 30. Folks needing to arrange pickup or having questions about what can and cannot be dumped should call the Silt Town Hall at 876-2353 during normal business hours. Information is also available on the local cable access channel and the Silt PD website at ww.townofsilt.org/ siltpd.htm. Let’s all work together to make Silt a safe and beautiful place to live.
