Silt festival in its Heyday
SILT Silt HeyDay is celebrating its 37th year on Saturday, Aug. 5.The annual event’s theme this year is “Celebrate Family.” Grand marshals will be any and all families that wish to join in the parade down Main Street.The day’s activities at Veterans’ Memorial Park in Silt start with breakfast accompanied by live music from the Heart of the Rockies with Twirp Anderson, John Sommers and Cash Cashman at 7 a.m.The parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by a host of children’s games, dance exhibitions and musical entertainment throughout the day and into the evening at no charge. Local rock band Acoustic Mayhem is set to play music throughout the day. Booths with hand-crafted items and food will be set up around the perimeter of the park.
