Silt Police Report
Editor’s note: The Silt Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Theft: A woman reported on Aug. 31 that her son had stolen the speakers from her car and sold them at a pawn shop. Christopher Scott Alan Hart, 27, of Silt was cited for theft.
Driving under restraint: Officers observed a man known to have a suspended license driving on Main Street at 9:13 a.m. on Sept. 3. Tyson Allen Smith, 28, of Silt, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
Driving under restraint: Officers stopped a motorist for speeding at Fifth and Main at 8:17 p.m. on Sept. 4. The driver, Maribel Montoya Perez, 35, of Rifle was cited for driving with a suspended license and speeding 10 mph over the limit.
