Simon Loya

Simon Loya of Glenwood Springs died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at his home. He was 61.

Mr. Loya was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jesus Jose Loya and Arnulfa Olivas.

He moved to Glenwood Springs, where he worked as a kitchen assistant. He was a member of La Roca Christian Center.



Mr. Loya was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Nepomucino Loya.

He is survived by brothers Silvino Loya of Chihuahua and Jose Loya of Port Arthur, Texas; by sisters Maria Loya and Silvina Loya, both of Chihuahua; and by many nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Farnum-Holt Chapel in Glenwood Springs.

A funeral service wil be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the First Assembly of God Church, 1123 Pitkin Ave. in Glenwood Springs, with the Rev. Paul Perea officiating.

Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.
