Single-vehicle wreck closes Glenwood Canyon for an hour

A single-vehicle rollover shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday closed eastbound Interstate 70 through Glenwood Canyon for about an hour.

The Colorado State Patrol reported that a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck had rolled and came to rest on its roof near mile marker 129. At least one person in the vehicle was injured, but the extent of injuries were not immediately available.

Trooper Tim Sutherland said at about 9:20 p.m. that an ambulance had been dispatched to the scene.

Garfield County’s alert system said the road reopened shortly before 10 p.m.
