Ski lift construction, maintenance class offered online by CMC

The ski area operations program of Colorado Mountain College announces a significant expansion of its ability to provide education for the mountain resort industry.

Beginning Aug. 26, students across the Colorado Mountain College District and throughout the U.S. will be able to enroll and participate in the ropeway construction and maintenance class via the Internet. This class is the first in an offering of courses designed to meet the needs of the mountain resort industry.

The course will familiarize students with various ropeway construction methods and maintenance techniques. Design features of various manufacturers will be discussed. Safety, construction techniques, blueprint reading, preventative maintenance and repair will be emphasized.
