Skier who died after run at Keystone identified

KEYSTONE, Colo. (AP) ” A man who died while skiing at Keystone Resort was identified Monday as Pieter Stolk, 56, of Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Stolk, a civil engineer who was vacationing in Colorado, died Sunday.

Summit County Coroner Joanne L. Richardson said earlier that evidence suggested Stolk hit a bump, lost control and was airborne for about two feet before hitting a tree with his left side. There were no witnesses.

At least four other skiers have died after accidents at Colorado resorts this season.
