Age: 31Branch of the military and division: Air ForceFamily: Has a wife, Nicole, and daughter, ChloeWhen and why did you join the Air Force?: I joined the Air Force in mid-1996. And why? I was at a point in my life where … you know I did the college thing and I could fly. I was going to be air crew. Basically I just ran out of stuff to do and that seemed like a good option.

Where have you been deployed?: Everywhere. I’ve been everywhere. Nowhere. Most of the places didn’t have a name – those were the nowhere places. I’ve been to Bosnia, the desert, Germany, Italy, all over Europe … everywhere. When you were being deployed, what did you miss most about home?: I didn’t really miss a whole lot about home. I was busy doing stuff that less than 1 percent of the world gets to do: working as a C-130 loadmaster. What’s that?: Basically I pushed people and things out the back of an aircraft. We flew a lot of support missions.

What’s your favorite food?: PopcornWhat do you like to do in your free time?: Spend time with my family. That’s my biggest deal. What historical figure do you most admire?: You know I thought Gandhi was a pretty righteous dude. He pretty much had her nailed. What are you looking forward to doing while in Glenwood Springs?: Snowboarding at Sunlight and going to the hot springs pool afterwards.
