Some government offices closed, some remain open Columbus Day

Some government offices are closed for Columbus Day on Monday, Oct. 14, while others are open.

Closed on Monday will be city hall offices in Silt, Parachute and Aspen. City hall offices in Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, New Castle and Rifle will be open.

Garfield County offices will be open on Monday, while offices in Pitkin and Eagle counties will be closed.



Colorado drivers license offices in Glenwood Springs and Rifle will be closed, as will White River National Forest offices.

Post offices will be closed on Monday.



Garfield County libraries are always closed on Monday, but the library at the Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley Campus will be open.

Classes will be held in the Roaring Fork Re-1 School District.
