Some more info on the WRNF plan

Full sets of all official documents related to the final forest plan can be found at local libraries, and at the WRNF website, CD-ROMs containing the plan are available at the forest headquarters in Glenwood Springs and at all district ranger offices, including offices in Carbondale and Rifle. Employees at those offices also are available to answer questions.-Public meetings on the plan will be held at each ranger district office this month. The Rifle district’s meetings will be held June 20 from 3-7 p.m. Carbondale’s will be June 19 from 3-8 p.m. Other district meetings will be in Aspen June 17, Meeker June 13, Eagle June 17, Holy Cross (Vail) June 19, and Dillon June 17. Public presentations also will be made upon request.-The final plan will take effect 30 days after publication of a legal notice in the Denver Post, which is expected to occur Friday. Any appeals must be filed within 90 days of that notice’s publication. Appeals are considered only if they raise issues of fact, law, regulation or policy.5
