Something stinks in Glenwood

Dear Editor,

This letter is to all the irresponsible dog owners out there (you know who you are) who do not pick up after their dogs. I am distraught and disgusted at the amount of dog excrement I see on the trails around and in our town.

On Grizzly Creek Trail for instance; the first 200 yards are covered with poo. The trail along the 12th Street ditch and up to Doc Holliday’s grave is equally polluted.

The City of Glenwood provides pick up bags and trash cans at convenient locations throughout our area.

I don’t understand the mentality of a person who will not pick up after their dog. Maybe these are the same people who throw baby diapers on the side of the road!

Please be considerate and do the poo thing. I would hate to see more restrictions on where we can take our precious pets.
