Speak out on Glenwood’s Comp Plan

Dear Editor,

The city of Glenwood Springs is currently accepting comments on the Comprehensive Plan in order to determine if changes are needed to better reflect the needs of the community and the changing environment. We are about halfway through the contemplated life of the document, and recent events have shown that there exists considerable interest in the direction that the city should be taking with respect to growth.

The planning staff has done a great job of putting forward information on current conditions.

The first two public meetings on this topic were sparsely attended, but there are two more planned. Staff and Planning and Zoning Commissioners will be available to answer questions, discuss topics and hand out comment forms. Please join us from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, at Sopris Elementary School or at the Community Picnic from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, at City Hall to have your opinion counted.
