Glenwood Springs High School is hosting a youth football camp at the school’s fields Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 14-16, from 4:45-6:30 p.m.

This noncontact camp will feature football skills instruction for boys and girls in the third through eighth grades. Members of the GSHS football coaching staff and the program’s varsity players will serve as coaches.

The cost is $30, which includes a T-shirt. Registration will be available the day of camp, and participants must provide insurance.

Roaring Fork High School’s fall sports information meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.

The meeting will begin in the main gym, with sport-specific breakdowns to follow.

Required materials needed to participate in sports at RFHS include a current physical, a signed athletics contract, a $100 fee and a $100 uniform deposit. Paperwork can be obtained at the meeting.

Any questions can be directed to Marty Nieslanik, the RFHS athletic director, at 384-5753.

Le Tour Defiance, a Glenwood Springs mountain bike race, is slated for Saturday, Sept. 8, at 9:30 a.m. The 10-mile race is for riders 10 years old and up.
