Spring-cleaning refuse collectors roll through town April 16-27

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. The annual spring cleaning time for Glenwood Springs will be from April 16-27.Regulations include: No commercial service. Limited to one dump truck load (approximately five cubic yards) per residence. Hazardous items cannot be picked up (batteries, tires, paints, gas or air cylinders, gas tanks, sealed containers, waste motor oil, antifreeze, copiers, television sets or computer monitors, etc.). Refrigerated appliances will be picked up only if they have a “Freon Free” certificate properly attached. Tree limbs should be cut into lengths no longer than 6 feet and stacked neatly.Place items out by 7 a.m. of the first day of cleanup in your area.Items need to be set in the street in front of your residence. Residents of trailer parks and similar areas need to keep their items in front of their residence or next to the road adjacent to their home. No community piles are allowed.Keep all debris separate from your regular household trash containers so it will not interrupt your regular trash service.City crews will not go onto private property to pick up items.Crews will make only one trip through your neighborhood.Please do not place items against any buildings, fences, etc.For additional information, call Public Works at 384-6379.The following businesses provide the indicated services.
