Stand up against sexual harassment in the workplace

Dear Editor,

Sexual harassment in the workplace is more common than most would think.

The reason we don’t hear more about it is because men and women are afraid or intimidated to come forward. I can relate to that from experience. I was sexually harassed in the workplace and when I came forward, I lost my job, and not only that: I am having a hard time getting any law enforcement to help me out.

What does it take to get this problem stopped? Rape?Death? What? If more people would step forward in regards to sexual harassment in the workplace, the judiciary and law enforcement may do more. We are talking about Garfield County, which is a small community and everyone knows everyone else’s business so why is it so hard to get this problem taken care of? There has to be justice at some point.

I beg of the women and or Men who have been sexually harassed in the workplace to come forward and let’s get the situation under control and let them know WE WILL NOT STAND FOR IT ANY LONGER.
