Stephen Thomas Gresock

Stephen Thomas Gresock of New Castle died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at his home. He was 66.

Mr. Gresock was born May 9, 1937, in Flint, Mich., to Mary Kobsa and Nicholas Gresock.



He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Lise Larsen on Oct. 15, 1969, in Ridgewood, N.J.



In the 1960s he lived in Michigan, and owned and operated a marina. He loved the mountains, and moved to Aspen in the late 1960s, and worked as a ski instructor at the Snowmass ski area for 10 years. He moved to New Castle in 1978, and worked as a home builder, helping build the Glenwood Springs Mall.

Mr. Gresock was the owner and operator of Spirits of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Nicholas Gresock.

Mr. Gresock is survived by his wife, Lise Gresock of New Castle; by a son, Paul Stephen Gresock of California; by brothers Joe Gresock, John Gresock and Frank Gresock; and by a sister, Mary Ann Viele.

Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
