Steve Walter Lindt

Steve Walter Lindt of Carbondale died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, in Glenwood Springs. He was 47.

He was born Feb. 17, 1956, in Kingman, Kan., to Irene Neuberger and Vernon Walter Lindt.

He spent his childhood in Wichita, Kan., and graduated from Wichita South High School in 1974.



He married Jane Ann Sanders on Nov. 1, 1975, in Wichita, Kan.

They moved to Longmont, and then to Carbondale in 1981.



He worked as the office manager for Ranch Home Outfitters.

Mr. Lindt was also the lead guitar player for the rock band The Beaters. He also managed the sound systems for other bands in the valley. He loved rock `n’ roll, and fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Lindt is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Lindt; by a son, James Lindt; and by a daughter, Julie Lindt, all of Carbondale.

A private family service is planned.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
