Structure fire on Highway 325 north of Rifle remains under investigation

RIFLE, Colorado – Rifle firefighters doused a structure fire that erupted Friday afternoon on a property in the 3000 mile of Highway 325 north of Rifle.

The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reported that no one was injured, and there are no obvious signs of arson at this time. The fire remains under investigation.

The Rifle Fire Protection District responded with two fire engines, two water tenders, an ambulance, a command vehicle and 13 firefighters. Burning Mountains Fire Protection District responded with a water tender and two firefighters.



Other agencies assisting on scene were the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, State Patrol and the Colorado Department of Transportation.
