Summer calls for consideration

Shelly Walker

Dear Editor,

I am writing to plead with people to please be considerate of others during the summer when windows are open and noise is much more bothersome than normal.

Downtown Glenwood Springs is never a quiet place, but much more so now that summer is here and all the windows are open to let the cool night air in.

Please be considerate of your neighbors and don’t yell and scream when coming out of the bars after midnight.

Diesel trucks and motorcycles, please don’t rev your engines in residential areas, the noise is awful and so is the smell.

Also, speaking of smell, cigarette smokers, don’t you realize that your smoke travels into every open window you walk by? Please don’t walk by people’s homes smoking under open windows, we might as well be puffing on your cigarette with you, and I’d rather not!

Thank you for being considerate of others and letting everyone enjoy the beautiful summer!

Sincerely,

Shelly Walker
