Sunlight Mountain Resort announced the appointment of Cindy Dady as its new CEO on Tuesday. With over 30 years of experience in ski resort management, she is set to bring her expertise to one of Colorado’s longest-tenured ski destinations.

“Cindy Dady is exactly the leader Sunlight Mountain needs to propel us into a new era,” Sunlight Mountain Marketing Director Matt Ericksen said. “Her profound commitment to safety, innovation, and community engagement is not just impressive but exactly aligned with our core values and long-term goals.”

Dady’s extensive background includes roles at major ski resorts including Greek Peak in New York, as well as Echo Mountain in Colorado and Mammoth Resorts, where she led significant safety and operational enhancements.

During her time at Mammoth Resorts, her initiatives earned the resort the prestigious National Ski Areas Association’s Best Overall Safety Program award in 2018 and 2019. She also served as risk manager for the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority, contributing to vital safety protocols and COVID-19 response strategies.

She will officially take the reins as CEO of Sunlight Mountain on Aug. 5. Under her leadership, Ericksen said the resort aims to elevate its operational standards and strengthen its community ties, continuing to cement its reputation within the Roaring Fork community.

The resort plans to hold a number of public and private events leading up to the winter season, so that the community can learn more about Dady and the resort’s future plans.
