Sunlight offers free lessons this season

GLENWOOD SPRINGS – Sunlight Mountain Resort announced free lessons throughout January.To encourage people to hit the slopes, Sunlight is offering free two-hour group ski and snowboarding lessons every Thursday at 10 a.m. The lessons begin at Sunlight Ski School on Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Guests should arrive an hour before the scheduled lesson times if they plan to use rental equipment. Lessons are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.Sunlight is also promoting a “Learn to Shine” program for new skiers and snowboarders all winter long. Costing $215 for skiing and $230 for snowboarding, the program includes three days of lift tickets, daily two-hour lessons beginning at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m., plus daily equipment rentals.
