GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” The folks at Sunlight Mountain Resort are planning to do their part on Earth Day by hosting “Clean the Curves,” on Sunday.

“The road is clear and we wanted to go pick up as much as we could find,” said Sunlight Mountain Resort marketing manager Dylan Lewis. “We want to clean our road up because a lot of the traffic that travels the road is from our customers.”

The event will focus on cleaning Four Mile Road from “The curve” to the Sunlight parking lot. Participants can park in the parking lot at Sunlight and will be split into three crews, each responsible for a two-mile stretch of road starting at 2 p.m.

“We expect to be done by 4 or 5 p.m.,” Lewis said.

People should come prepared to work. Trash bags will be provided but Lewis encouraged participants to bring gloves, wear long pants, and wear either boots or a pair of good walking shoes as it will be around a two-mile walk.

Pizza and refreshments will be provided by Uncle Pizza upon return to the parking lot after the pick up. The event is hosted in part by the Sunlight Ski Club, Sunlight Ski Patrol, and Sunlight Mountain Development along with help from the employees of Sunlight.

“We feel like we are part of the Four Mile Road community,” Lewis said. “We want to do our part to help keep it clean.”
