Sunlight to open with big snow

Sunlight Mountain Resort will open with stellar conditions Friday. This weekend’s storm brought 37 inches of new snow to the ski area. “This dump is enough snow to make some of the best opening day conditions in recent memory,” said Kevin Horch, spokesman for Sunlight.Along with the great conditions, the ski area will be kicking off the season with the start of the Sunlight Mountain Resort Treasure Hunt and some live music for après ski. The treasure hunt is worth $500 in cash prizes and there is a season pass for next season. The prizes are hidden on the mountain somewhere. So, check the Web site for clues (www.sunlightmtn.com), and start hunting. For information about Sunlight Mountain Resort, call 945-7491.
