Support Bhutan’s health fund-raiser

Dear Editor,

My wife, Sally, and I visited Bhutan many years ago. It is a wonderful small country tucked in the Himalayas. We have a good Bhutanese friend there that we first met earlier in New Zealand just after she finished her nurse training. She e-mailed the other day and asked us to help publicize a unique fund-raising walk by the Minister of Health himself – carrying his own backpack, hiking 15 days across Bhutan to reinforce interest in physical activities and raise money for the Bhutan Health Trust Fund. The full story is available on http://www.move4health. We will be sending a contribution, and we’re encouraging others to as well. If you have any questions you can contact me at or 384-1190 or the Project Director, Leki Dorji, at

Thanks for your support. I know the money will be well used.
