Suzi says thanks

Dear Editor,

I would like to take a moment to express my thanks for all the help and care that was given to me after my bicycle accident on Aug. 8 and during the process of recovery.

Some extremely kind motorists and excellent emergency staff immediately helped me after the accident, quickly getting me to the emergency room. It touches the deepest reaches of my heart when a community member stops to help a stranger in need.

After being transferred to the hospital, I was assisted by Valley View’s incredible staff, making sure that I was comfortable and informed about what surgery would need to be done. Dr. Liotta and Adams made an excellent team. They repaired both my broken shoulder and collarbone, and set me up to recover well.

My family and friends played a large role in my recovery as well. It was great seeing a smiling face to uplift my spirits each day, and it is a wonderful feeling when so many care so much for me.

I am feeling better every day and progressing with great speed. Without the help of the doctors, emergency team, motorists, friends, family, and the rest of the Valley View staff, I cannot say that my recovery would have gone as well. Bless you all for your generosity and compassion.
