Symphony Swing celebrates fifth year

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” Oh, this winter has been a long one, and for those in need of a little pick-me-up, don’t despair. For the fifth straight year, Symphony Swing will soon be heading to the area.

The community orchestra, Symphony in the Valley, is hosting two nights of big, brassy music for swing lovers in Glenwood Springs and Battlement Mesa. The first will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the Hotel Colorado. At 6 the following evening, the snappy sounds of the swing era will continue at the Battlement Mesa Activity center, where wine and cheese will be available.

Both nights will feature the stylings of the Rat Pack, the Sirens, Lorraine Curry and so many more. Both dressy events fill up fast, so grab those tickets early. Prices are $75 for the Hotel Colorado evening and $15 for the Battlement Mesa night.
