T-bone crash sends one to hospital

A “t-bone” crash in south Glenwood Springs on Colorado 82 sent one elderly man to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Glenwood Springs emergency responders were paged to the scene after an elderly driver heading southbound on Colorado 82 attempted to make a left turn off the highway and was struck on the passenger side. Emergency responders were initially alerted that extrication might be necessary to retrieve the man, but those steps did not turn out to be needed.

No other injuries resulted, and the extent of the elderly driver’s injuries were not immediately know, according to Gary Tillotson, Glenwood fire chief.
