Talk: Arts council is listening

Dear Editor,

The Carbondale Council on the Arts and Humanities (CCAH) wants your opinions. The board of directors and other members of the arts council will be out at Performance in the Park, at Sopris Park, Tuesday, June 18, seeking your input and ideas for future performances for music and theater productions, coffee houses, the Mountain Fair and a future arts center. Your ideas are important to the council and we want to hear from you.

The music of Newcomers Home will provide an open atmosphere where you can voice your concerns and desires for your arts council. Free hot dogs, smart dogs and pop will be provided while supplies last. If you are unable or do not wish to vocalize your opinions then you may write them down at a table under the picnic shelter.

Your help in shaping the future of arts and humanities in Carbondale is important. The council and food will be available starting at 6 p.m. and the band begins at 6:45p.m.

We look forward to hearing from you at this event or any other time that may be convenient. Call your arts council if you would like to make an appointment at 963-1680.
