Teresita M. Valencia
Teresita M. Valencia of Redcliff died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Glen Valley Nursing Home in Glenwood Springs. She was 90.
She was born Oct. 8, 1912, in La Villita, N.M., to Catarina Gomez and Ursulo Medina.
She married Vicente Valencia on Jan. 19, 1932, in New Mexico. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Valencia lived in Redcliff for 68 years. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Medina; and by sisters Sidelia Carrillo and Angelica Guillen.
Mrs. Valencia is survived by sons Rudy Valencia and Leroy Valencia; by daughters Viola Jaramillo, Marcella Leyba, Eva Madril, Edna Salazar and Marguerite Miller; by a brother, Pete Medina; and by 42 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
A Rosary service was held on Monday in Redcliff.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 28, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minturn.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Redcliff.
