Thanks for a pleasant visit to Glenwood

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank Glenwood Springs residents for all your friendly hospitality during our recent visit to your city.

Everyone we met in your fine restaurants and on our magnificent canyon bicycle tour and thrilling rafting experience on the Colorado River gave us a very beautiful welcome, and we shall long treasure memories of our Colorado vacation. We loved the Hot Springs Pool.

While in your city, we made a small donation to the Coal Seam Fire Relief Fund. Doing so is an expression of our continuing prayers for all of you and especially for all those whose lives were so deeply hurt as a result of the fires. We also wanted to do this as our way of reflecting our thanks that our daughter Ms. Laine Weinstein, recreation therapist for the Youth Recovery Center at Valley View Hospital, and the staff there and the hospital are safe.

In our region we know the damage suffered during hurricanes and floods and we hold each and every one of you close in our hearts and prayers for safety.
