Thanks from two Red Mountain residents

Dear Editor,

Marc and I are very thankful for all the help we received during our evacuation from Red Mountain. We left our home with various birds from our store in the Mall and also our two larger pet parrots. Thanks to our employees’ thoughtful actions, our store was secured with no losses. We want to thank our neighbors Linda and Mike for alerting us. A wonderful man named Chris, visiting from Canada, helped by driving our van loaded with birds to CMC. We’re very grateful that Angel, Cameron, Ruth and others at the Farm at CMC were available to open their facility and their hearts to our birds and other people’s beloved pets. We thank God for our friends Cheryl, Kelsey and Lindsey who shared their home with us. The people who showed up selflessly to help at Spring Valley deserve a lot of credit. We enjoyed a delicious dinner there. We also want to thank the Gabriel Foundation for housing our birds until the smoke clears. And our heartfelt thanks and prayers to all those who defended our homes against the fires.

Two very grateful Red Mountain folks,

Marc and Joan Adler
