Thelma Ann King, 72, lifetime resident of Rifle, passed away peacefully at her home Nov. 29, 2012 with her family at her side.

Thelma was born June 17, 1940 to Leon and Annie (Smith) Langstaff. She enjoyed camping and hiking. Her favorite pastime was walking in the gulches looking for rocks. She loved to go out on long drives in the mountains. Thelma was well-known in the neighborhood as an independent woman. She was a spitfire a lot of the time, but was well loved by those that knew her.

She will be missed by her daughters Cindy and Kathy King; brother James (Alberta) Langstaff; granddaughter Tiffany (Jose) Quintana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lester, Richard, Ervin, Walter and Jesse; sisters Martha and Marilyn.
