Thelma Faye Roberts passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Heritage Park Care Center. She was 87.Thelma was born in Burlington, Kan., and was a lifelong resident of Carbondale. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, family, and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.Thelma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter E. Roberts Sr., her sister Norma Trussel, and brothers Loren Kirkham, Wren Kirkham and Marvin Kirkham.Thelma is survived by her son, Gene Roberts of Carbondale; two brothers, Leonard Kirkham of Eckert, Colo., and Kirk Kirkham of Fruitville, Colo.; two grandchildren, Kim L. Wilde of Fruita, and Gail Joy Hogue of Pensacola, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Matthew Hogue of Pensacola, Fla., and Kolton Chase Wilde of Fruita.Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel, located at 405 W. Seventh St., Glenwood Springs. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Carbondale.Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9.
