They come here seeking a better life?
Dear Editor,
Yes, as reported in the Post Independent earlier, immigrants really do dominate the Valley job market. And although I’m sure there must be one green-card holder out there with a valid Social Security number, I’ve never seen one!
Doesn’t matter if they are 18 years old, or 58, they are all married with six to eight dependents.
As far as safety goes on the Valley job sites, despite safety manuals written in their own language, repeated warnings, geese have more common sense!
If immigrants dominate the Valley job sites, then they must dominate the Valley highways, and they do. And although I’m sure there must be one green-card holder out there with a valid driver’s license, I’ve never seen one.
They have either bought their driver’s license, or they are driving without one. No written test, no driving test, no eye test, and no fee to the state. However, I’m sure they all have vehicle insurance, right?
But to be fair to the one green-card holder out there with a valid drivers license that wasn’t obtained illegally, has a Social Security number that isn’t stolen and pays correct amount of taxes, welcome aboard, your tax dollar is hard at work!
