This blog is your blog. I know that people who live here enjoy the outdoors. So, here’s your chance to tell your story, or use the new Post Independent Outdoors blog as a sounding board for all your outdoor questions, concerns, insight or stories.

Follow the blog tab on the PI home web page, click on “more blogs” link and click on “This blog is your blog.”

Anyone with a created identity can post a blog entry on this page. Tell us about your favorite outdoor adventures that you’ve enjoyed this summer, ask questions, or give out helpful tips on conditions for trail terrain, camping spots, or hunting areas and fishing holes.

For instance, if the bridge on the Fryingpan Lakes Trial is out of commission, post it here so others will know what to plan for.

If you want to know something about a particular hiking trail, ask it here and I’m sure someone will be able to help out. If we don’t know, we’ll find the answer.

The posts don’t even have to be just about Garfield County. Going to Moab? Want to know a good place to go camping? Ask on the Post Independent Outdoors Blog and someone may give you the ideal spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. Just don’t give up your secret place.

It’s easy to participate, just click on the “post a comment” link and do your thing. You can even add photos of your adventures for people to see.

Readers will also find links to various activities, camping options, fishing reports ” and of course in the winter ” skiing conditions.

Anything else you’d like to see? Just let us know and we’ll see what can be done.

The idea is to have fun while sharing information about what we all love about Colorado’s western slope, the great outdoors. This blog is your blog, use it and enjoy.
